Louise Hoffsten's big breakthrough came in 1993 with the album Rhythm & Blonde, which earned her a Swedish Grammy and Rockbjörn for best Swedish female artist of the year.
During her career, she has released many albums and collaborated with Esbjörn Svensson Trio and Lars Winnerbäck. She has also received the Evert Taube scholarship and participated in Melodifestivalen.
In 2022, Louise Hoffsten was presented with the Music Publishers' Lifetime Achievement Award.
